Acceptance of Terms

By creating a CareLens account you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. CareLens is a United States product currently available only to users with US-located Ring cameras.

What CareLens Is — and Is Not

CareLens is a camera-awareness service that helps family caregivers stay informed about the daily activity patterns of aging family members through Ring camera event summaries. CareLens is not a medical device, emergency alert system, security monitoring service, or replacement for professional caregiving. See our Medical Disclaimer.

Account and Family Access

One account per Ring installation. The account owner may invite family members to view the activity dashboard. The owner is responsible for all activity on their account, including the actions of invited family members. The owner may revoke family member access at any time. Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their sign-in links.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CareLens to monitor individuals who have not consented to camera monitoring, to circumvent Ring's Terms of Service, to engage in illegal surveillance, or to resell or redistribute CareLens access.

We encourage account owners to inform the household members being monitored that cameras are operating and that CareLens is generating activity summaries.

Billing and Cancellation

CareLens subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time from Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law.

Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent billing, or abuse the service. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

CareLens is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of CareLens, including any failure to detect or report an event. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid to CareLens in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflicts of law provisions.
